Judith Egger

As a founding member of the fictional United Holobiontic Protection Alliance, she organizes a performative demonstration: In a largely nonverbal manifesto performance, she gives voice to the concerns of the holobionts and advocates for a responsible, connected relationship with all living things. The motto “Be brave! Stand up!” seems particularly fitting in this context, as the intention of the demonstration is to create an artistic impulse that, in a nonverbal, anarchic, serious, and at the same time humorous way, stirs, moves, and arouses curiosity. At the core of her artistic exploration lies the question of where we come from, how life began, and what it is that drives all living things.
