The exhibition “Stromzähler 13 – Another Sphere” is the latest project by the artist group Stromzähler, led by Sebastian Lechner, Nick Bötticher, and Florian Huber, who, as founders and curators, have been organizing group exhibitions with changing local and international artists since 2016.

The unique feature of the Stromzähler concept is the bringing together of artistic positions that would not normally be found in group exhibitions. This will also be a constant feature of the exhibition “Stromzähler 13 – Another Sphere” in the artists' gallery. Unlike previous Stromzähler exhibitions, which drew attention to the shortcomings of cultural accessibility in apartments or vacant spaces, this group exhibition pursues an expanded interpretation of the original concept; Stromzähler is interested in an interpretation that is not intended to be didactic or instructive, but rather opens up new spaces for thought and perception. In this exhibition, the artists address current issues such as energy and resource scarcity, among other things, and lend further layers of meaning to the term Stromzähler. The examination of the group's name thus becomes a starting point for reflections on sustainability and the role of art in a time of ecological and social challenges.

Judith Egger will present the performance “Recruiting New Members for the United Holobiontic Protection Alliance” as well as a billboard made of coke mats/clay and an integrated video screen.
